Leaked iPad 3 Replacement Microphone Part
As the iPad 3 travels through the pipe-line of component manufacturers, parts occasionally are leaked; and this time around it’s rumored to be a replacement microphone ribbon which would be inside the casing of the device.
Adding further fuel to the raging rumor fire, the leaked part/photo has a big overhaul to its design and shape, which could mean the inside of the iPad 3 is getting some new changes to accommodate additional technology, relocate a few things, or even change the exterior design of the case itself.
In our rumor roundup post we provided a concept image of what the iPad 3 could look like, and if the exterior is getting some changes, internal components sometimes need to be adjusted to conform to the new specifications.
The purported iPad 3 replacement microphone part was originally discovered on TVC Mall’s website who is a large distributor of parts for iOS devices, including the iPad.
As we anxiously await Tim Cook to take the stage for the first time in new iPad refresh fashion, speculations to why the leaked part has been redesigned so substantially are all we have to go on. Maybe it’s to incorporate the expected A6 processor, battery space, or more RAM.
The leaked photo could be an old prototype or it could be the real deal; as we are approaching the New Year. Seeing how TVC Mall already has the image as a product listing on their website; they seem pretty confident that it is indeed real. Stay tuned for more updates on the iPad 3 as parts and news continue to surface for the upcoming tablet.
