iPad 3 Wish List
Suggestions for the New iPad 3
It’s almost time for Apple to unveil the specs for the new iPad 3. There have already been several rumors, most of which have been debunked, about which features will or will not be a part of the new tablet. There are also a few features which users’ of the iPad would love for the latest tablet to have. We’d love to hear your ideas in the comments below too!
First off, a longer battery life would be ideal. Being able to watch more movies, surf the web, shop for direct tv deals, and read more books before having to go looking for an electrical outlet to plug into, would be a big step in the right direction. How often during a long plane or train ride have you run out of battery power with the iPad? Even a few more hours would be a blessing, as the 10 hour mark seems like old news; especially since as the device/battery age that time significantly decreases.
Another great idea that could be added would be a micro USB port or even a micro SD card slot in the iPad itself. It’s possible to do this by using a separate dock, but it’s just not as portable and user-friendly as simply carrying the tablet, and a thumb drive or a handful of micro SD cards to quickly bring up your content without additional add-ons.
It’s possible to use cloud storage to bypass this as well, but it’s not always possible or economical to be connected to the internet all the time. There are still some of us that work off-line or travel in places without 3G or WiFi support. This factor alone would allow Apple and the iPad to stand out above netbooks; further strengthening the place of tablets in commutes and business applications.
Regardless of what changes are made or not made, the iPad 3 is bound to be a crowd pleaser and well worth the cost even if the core improvements or main selling points turn out to be better cameras, Siri and a higher resolution screen. What is the most prominent feature on your wish list, whether it be for personal use or business?
