Many of you might have heard about this already that Stefan Esser, who’s known by his online name i0n1c, has given people a video demonstration of an untethered jailbreak on the iPad 3/ new iPad which he owns and is running on the iOS 5.1. This video has shown the jailbreak scene which they imagined they could never do i.e. an untethered break which looks instantaneous. Stefan or i0n1c has been working day and night in order to do this, and he even teased about a jailbreak on his Twitter account. On the other hand, the iPhone Dev Team were able to jailbreak the iPad 3/ new iPad and have shown some screenshots of the iPad 3/ new iPad running Cydia. For all of you who feel that screenshots are pictures aren’t enough. You can all check out the video that’s been posted by i0n1c. This four and a half-minute video will show you i0n1c’s own completely jailbroken ‘the new iPad’ which is also untethered! Here is the video link.

The jailbreak community still has to wait for a while to experience an untethered jailbreak on the iOS 5, as the A4 untethered jailbreak will come in December, and it’ll be followed in January by the A5, Absinthe exploit. When the iPad 3/ new iPad was launched, many thought that it would take a while for people to come up with a complete jailbreak. However, it seems that some people have managed it in very little time compared to the time it took to jailbreak the iPad 2 last year.
